Dr. Anthony Corcoran, an American Board of Urology certified, Fellowship trained Uro-oncologist is an Attending Physician with NYU Langone Urology and Attending Physician Urologic Oncology and Robotic Surgery. Assistant Professor of Urology NYU Long Island School of Medicine, Dr. Corcoran is The Director of Urologic Oncology NYU Langone Hospital, Perlmutter Cancer Center, An NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Growing up on Long Island, Dr. Corcoran attended Chaminade High School followed by the University of Scranton. After obtaining a Masters Degree from SUNY Binghamton he enrolled in SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and graduated in the top 5% of his class. He did his Urology training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center followed by a Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) approved Fellowship at Philadelphia’s Fox Chase Cancer Center. Videos for his surgical innovations have been represented at international conferences. Dr. Corcoran is well published and continues to review for several highly-regarded publications including the Journal of Urology.
Dr. Corcoran has a particular interest in academic medicine and sits on the Continuing Medical Education and OR Committees at NYU Langone Hospital. He is a member of the American Urologic Association and Society of Urologic Oncology.
Dr. Corcoran sees all Urologic conditions but has special interest and expertise in adrenal, testicular,kidney, bladder and prostate cancers that need both open and robotic intervention.
